I used to be disorganized. It wasn’t that I didn’t care, but I had no idea about where to start, which program to use, or why I should pick one over another. I just knew I loved photography and wanted to care for my memories properly. I threw myself into the digital world and eventually I figured it all out. DPO stands for “Digital Photo Organizing.”
It’s not a new field, but it’s also not a well known field, at least not yet. It used to be that only companies needed help managing their digital assets, but the technology revolution has left the average person with a collection big enough to rival even the largest of companies. When you add in videos, documents, and other types of files that also end up in our collections, it can quickly get overwhelming.

In desperation about the hodgepodge of digital photos that were scattered around unorganized in my life, in July 2020, I found info about Caroline Guntur’s DPO PRO class. We completely understand that these types of projects can feel overwhelming for any tech newbie, but you’ll be OK.
We will do everything we can to help you succeed!
The course starts from the very beginning, and includes content on how to use your operating system (how to move files and folders, etc), how different programs are set up, and what to look for. The entire module of digital basics is there to bring you up to speed on what you need to know before you start moving files around.
If you’re a complete beginner, we always recommend the VIP version as you’ll be able to get personalized feedback and coaching included! Support helps tremendously!
Great question! The time it will take for you to complete the course will depend on a few things, for example how many photos you have, how much time you have to work with the program, and what type of tech skills you have.
The course is meant to be completed within 90 days, but we have had clients take much longer and we have some that have taken much less time. The program’s running time is approximately 6 hours of video, but you have continuous and on-demand access, so there is no actual deadline for finishing your organizing project.
If you work better with a deadline and want one, email us and we’ll set one for you. If you enroll in the VIP version, you will received monthly group coaching for a period of one year to give you ample time to finish, but that can also be extended on an annual basis for an additional cost.
Yes! While we show you tutorials in the three most popular photo management programs on the market (Photo Mechanic, Apple Photos, and Adobe Lightroom), there is no rule that says you can’t use another one. We have had plenty of students who have used Adobe Bridge, Mylio, Google Photos, and others! We’ve even had students who opted to not use a program at all and just work in the operating system. We teach you how to drive – what type of car you have doesn’t matter that much!
Not directly. This course teaches you digital photo organization. However, we realize that many of our students also have a lifetime of printed materials, so it’s something we discuss quite a bit in our VIP calls. If you would like guidance on your printed photos too, enroll in one of the two VIP plans, so that we can assist you more in depth. In the monthly group coaching calls, you can ask about anything, and in the private coaching, we can work on whatever goals you have!
You have lifetime access to the curriculum for the version of the course you enroll in. If you join as a VIP member, you will also have 12-month access to monthly group coaching calls and our private Facebook group, which we feel is adequate time to complete your project. Should you want to stay enrolled past that timeframe, you are more than welcome to renew access at an additional cost.
You can use either a Mac or a PC to get your photos organized because the course includes organizing options for both operating systems. We even have a video on Mac vs. PC, so you can see what’s similar and what’s different. We do not showcase Linux, and if you use that, you already have the tech skills to work this out on your own.

This course is free from advertising, which makes it more costly to run than if we were partnering up with advertisers. Yes. This course explains and recommends industry standards, but it does not require you to follow them if you should choose not to do so. We simply want to make you aware of what they are, so that you can make an informed choice.
You have 12 months from date of enrollment to book your 4 calls via Zoom – instructions will be provided to you on how to schedule. The calls can be spaced out or done in closer proximity, but we recommend scheduling one call for every stage of the organizing process for best results!
Yes! Once you join DPO PRO, you get access to all the lessons (modules) instantly, so you are welcome to watch them in any order you want depending on what you are doing. Of course, we always recommend watching them in sequence (especially for beginners), because most lessons build upon each other, but you can skip around if you so choose. Skipping around does not affect the content in any way. There is no time limit on when and how many times you can watch the videos as long as you are enrolled.
